This "Saturday" at 8PM Eastern Standard Time(if you're in a different timezone and would like to know when that is for you, please YOM me(MILENKO!)), we will be having a Melee Tournament(all players will have teh same stats, so Grace/Milo are as strong as Farmboy Athos) and Trivia.
I don't think we've had these for a while, so if you'd like to know teh rules, please YOM me(MILENKO!).
You should all show up, because you can like, win stuff!!!! And if you're lucky, you'll even get to kill Angell! How sweet is that? Cat might even show up!

I wanted to say thank you to every player here who continues to make this site a fantastic community of people. We may not always get along, but we're nearly 10 years strong now. Through the ownership of addiction, I've got experience a lot. I recognize that much hasn't happened recently, but hopefully that will change soon. I have had much going on in my personal life that need not be discussed in game, but needless to say it has been a wrenching experience and left me... distracted. Changes to that will hopefully come soon, and with the so will my activity. Until then, again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for continuing to support this game and be a part of it.

Starting the week of August 7th, we'll be running a week long Dragon Kill contest. If you're interested, here is what you do. Send Akutozo a YoM with your DKs as they appear the start of the 7th (this amount will be confirmed). A tally will be kept of your entire week performance. We will also be looking at most Dragon Kills in one day as well. To be eligible for this you must exceed at least 100 Dragon Kills in a single day. Good luck!

Yesterday I went to change the item 'JEWELLERY SHOP KEYS' to 'JEWELRY' just to make it correct... unfortunately, I would also have to change the name elsewhere to make them still work for robbing the shop! I have changed the name back now and the keys should work, but if you have a set that isn't working just put them in your player shop for 200 million gold and YoM Lp. I will buy them as compensation!

In recent world news, tragedy has struck the lives of thousands in Japan after an 8.9 earthquake rocked the country. Flooding, tidal waves, and nuclear reactors threatening to implode are just a fraction of the dangers the Japanese are facing right now. Homes are destroyed, lives have been taken, and countless others are left homeless and injured.
For the month of April, 90% of the donations will go to a Japanese relief fund. It won't be much, but every little bit will help count toward assisting the unfortunate people living there today. Don't be shy, and show your support!

Future donations will award 1 donation point for each dollar donated. It used to cost 2 dollars for 1 point. This will be in effect through the rest of January as well as the month of February. If this proves successful, we may implement it long term!

Please remember, when reporting bugs either in petitions or in the forum, that we need as much detail as possible in order to address the issue. Simply stating "Please fix the bug in..." is not nearly enough information for us to do anything.
We need details of exactly what steps you took and the locations you were in that made the bug occur. Screen shots can also been extremely helpful if you are able to get them.

As many of you know, Addiction has been going through various BIG changes since the start of the month, largely due to excessive amounts of game-generated gold. These changes are to 'undo' these unbalances, in an attempt to return the game to the way we, the staff, feel it should be. Currently this includes:
- HP has been reduced by 80%
- All stored billions reduced by 80%
- Gold on hand, house chest, and bank reduced by 80%
- All rupies, crystals and platinum reduced by 80%
- All gems on hand, house stored and in gem bank reduced by 80%
- The ability to store billions of gold in your homes is temporarily removed.
-Smithing turns cost 75% less gold to purchase, making profits from forged gear 75% less as well
-Gold obtained in the forest areas reduced by 75%
-Creature drop items have become rarer
Keep in mind, a full backup was made before these changes were made in case it gets the wrong effect that was intended. Also, understand that the ability to store billions in your home is removed temporarily. Rest assured, it will return in due time. Akutozo greatly dislikes hate mail, so I will be in charge of doing what I can to explain these recent changes if anyone has any questions. Feel free to send me a YoM. We request that players do not start complaining in the village. Lets be civil and keep it YoM, please. As always, happy gaming.

Please remember these changes may or may not be permanent. Full backups have been made to ensure if this was the wrong decision, we can reverse it. What I want all players to understand is that these changes in no way demean your hard work or dedication to the website.
The changes made are focused on the economy itself, which most of all staff and experienced players can attest to feeling was broken. The other end of the spectrum is that stats had become so extreme, in some cases, that it was impossible even to take a castle without massive buffs.
Your stats are only smaller in number, not value. You're still just as much as stronger as the person below you, or weaker than the person above you. It's still just as hard to increase your stat as it was before, and someone below you will have to put in the same amount of effort to catch you.
